I am REALLY pleased with piece. I'll admit I am not always pleased with the way my things turn out, because a lot of times they aren't the way I see the finished product in my head, but this one I do love. The quote "my faith is like the wind, I can't see it, but I can feel it" is from my favorite move, A Walk to Remember.

SOLD!!! Well, almost LOL

The Johnson family!
8x10 flat panel
The red circles, santa hat, & the J are all highlighted with glitter edges. All items do have a finishing spray to set the paint, but this also prevents the glitter from being to messy in the future!

Metallic Gold and Silver.

The color of the pink and blue is more acurate in the 1st pic, but the flash makes it hard to see.

I used to have a dining room!

This is what my dining room looks like lately. I used to keep it all prettified with place settings and all. I need a space to paint huh? Anyone volunteer to come clean my "Spare (junk) room"

Penmanship!

I've been practicing my "handwriting" with the paintbrush. I don't have the neatest or the most consistent handwriting but I do not want to use stencils on my art because I think it makes it less original. Anybody can trace a stencil! Never fear, on my paintings you'll only get my very own MESSY handwriting!! lol

" Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly"

This is just on a pc of Canvas paper, I think it would be very cute on an ornament or a plate......

Rainbow.

"We must first weather the rain to get to enjoy our rainbow!"
This is just a sample on canvas paper. A finished one would be on your choice of canvas panel or stretched canvas.

Christmas idea- This one was done with my last name, but would obviously be customized to your family. This is just a "sample" or "prototype" that I painted on a piece of cardboard just playing around. A finished piece would be done on canvas (flat or stretched your choice) wichi would give it a much neater finished look.

The two above are on canvas paper but the finished product would be on a cavas panel or stretched canvas (your choice) with a decorative ribbon for hanging.

Here is one I finished this morning. I really like it! It is obviously a cross with gold metallic swillies. On the Left is The Lord's Prayer. Golden Metallic highlights.

Scripture

I did this painting of a guitar for a friend of my family. He happens to play the guitar and is a youth leader at the church he attends. The wording down the side is a few verses from Psalm 150. The verses quoted are about Praising the Lord through music, song, and dance!

One I did for fun. There is a crackle effect in the paint for the background. "This is the day that the Lord Has Made! Another verse from the book of Psalm

Cutie Patootie stuff!!

MOON MOON MOON, My Night Light.

MOON MOON MOON, Shining Bright. (the words dont show up so well in the pic....

Neither of these two Christmas ones make me to proud-- but I am going to redo these.... make them neater, better.....

I painted this for a very good friend and gave it to her at her baby shower.

I was asked to do this one above for a boyfriend to his girlfriend, in the halo is some little "message" that was between the two of them, I dont know what it means.

Your my Cuppy Cake!

THE APPLE OF MY EYE!!

Crosses

This cross is for my friends the Vann family- Their names are Eric, Candie, Braden & Brooklyn. Their names are around the edges.

Just a fun cross to hang on my wall!

This cross was for my husbands aunt & her family. They were baptized on July 12 09, which is in the top diamond, their last name Jolley is in the bottom diamond, the dad Tim & mom Jenny's initials are in the two side diamonds and all four kids, Logan, Dylan, Hayden & Madison's, initials are in the center diamond.

For a cousin-n-law Angie M. Pippin

Portfolio - random

This is my cousin Brandon. I painted this for him for Christmas 08 using the original as my guide.

This one is just a bit of whimsy! Cute bird crazy trees.... kinda like the name of the blog, Wayward Whimsy.

This image, I saw screen printed on a t-shirt. I LOVED the idea... Daffodils blowing and turning into doves... This one is a little messy... But was just a rough draft.

This one is one of my faves, because it was fun to do. Donavyn is a 3rd cousin and for his 3rd bday I painted this. It is the alphabet and for each letter I painted a little something, some of which where related to him and his life in someway. For example he has Down Syndrome, so for the A I painted it to look like the ribbon for Down Syndrome "Awareness", his daddy is in the marines, so for F I used "freedom" painted in red white & blue.

Not much to explain, just pretty flowers!
